Preliminary Practice; Colour Grading

I believe color grading plays a vital role in making any footage look cinematic, and setting the mood, genre and tone of the video. For example, a video might appear gloomy and dark if it is color graded a certain way. However, the same clip can appear cheerful if it is edited in brighter tones.  This is a short clip of my brother walking, color graded in both cheerful and gloomy ways. The music also adds to the lighthearted energy of the video.

I loved this videos editing style a lot and hope to try out something similar in my own music video’s editing.

Here is the storyboard for our music video. Zuha and I decided to use Canva for it. We both decided the sequence together virtually and Zuha used Canva to make this storyboard.

Location Risk Analysis

We intend to shoot most of the indoor shots in my house, so there is no ordeal of security or permission issues.  One of the few outdoor shots is on the road, and we can do it outside my house, as there is almost little to no traffic and it is convenient.  There are a few balcony shots, but these are completely safe as well since the balcony is fenced.
