Final Digipak

This is the final digipak I made for our music promotional package.

Social Media Page (and engagement strategies used)

I used a catchy line in the Instagram bio with the link to the music video, Instagram reels to boost engagement and a thematic grid to make the overall profile appear aesthetically pleasing.    I used story highlights to store the announcements for longer.   I used Instagram polls for increasing audience engagement. I linked the music video on story with a still we took during shooting. Shared the album cover on IG stories.  Released the track list.  I used PREQUEL and CapCut for these pictures to maintain the same font and theme. Moreover, for a coming soon poster in highlights, Zuha used Canva.  https://www.instagram.com/hayas_music?igsh=ZTFpeTJpa2MzNDg0  The link to the instagram account

CCR Questions

Question 1: How do your products represent social groups or issues?  Our music video represents mainly two social groups; age and gender. The music video follows a teenage girl struggling to cope with her best friend drifting apart, and feeling a sense of discomfort at growing up. This is showcased in the music video in ample ways through a non-chronological timeline grappling with flashbacks and present loneliness.  Teenagers are commonly stereotyped as edgy and dependent, in a constant quest to feel fulfillment. They also tend to be excessively emotional. This is encapsulated in in how during the flashbacks, Haya (main character) was constantly joyous, receiving that fulfillment by spending time with her friend. But during the present, she appears forlorn, longing for her friend, even frustrated on her birthday at the idea of aging alone, and pushing the cupcake away. This also perfectly captures the stereotypical importance of friendship to teenagers, as teens are ass...

Making the Digipak

I used PREQUEL for color-grading of the digipak pictures, and I used CapCut for adding texts to the Digipak pictures. Then I uploaded these to my drive and downloaded them on my laptop and used Adobe Photoshop for making the final digipak. I downloaded a digipak template from Google.

Post Production: Editing

Image
Editing was an interesting yet challenging part of the process. For editing, I used multiple softwares, including Premiere Pro, CapCut, PREQUEL and VN.  Premiere Pro: I used Premiere Pro (2022) for assembling of the footage. I also used it for all the transitions and effects. I worked with speed on Premiere Pro as sometimes, lip-syncing would be slightly slower than anticipated, and I would use the speed feature to align the lyrics and lip-syncing. Moreover, each time I had to work with opacity, Premiere was used. I also utilized the scaling up with key-frames to give a dolly-in effect, one which may be noticed in the second clip (the one with the galaxy projector). Since our footage's stability was a little compromised due to handheld shots, I applied warp stabilizer to videos in which the footage would not look wobbly. Moreover, in some scenes, I had to slow down the footage as the video clip would run out before it's corresponding lyric. For example during the "we'...
